A 72-year-old Italian lady, who cases to be a staunch lover of Saibaba, has given a gold crown worth about Rs 28 lakh to the well known sanctuary here.
Selini Doloras alias Sai Durga on Thursday gave the gold crown, weighing around 855 gms and studded with jewels, to the sanctuary, Shri Saibaba Sansthan trustee Sachin Tambe said.
The lady is a staunch adherent of Saibaba for recent years and visits Shirdi consistently. Prior, she had given two “rudraksha” (seed customarily utilized for supplication globules) strings having gold covering, worth around Rs 25 lakh, to the Saibaba sanctuary, Tambe said.
The lady advised media that she means to manufacture an immense Saibaba sanctuary in Italy.
She kept a construction map of the proposed temple at the foot of Saibaba’s idol on Thursday to seek his blessings.
