BTech second year student died after he accidentally fell from a six storey building in Himayathnagar while flying kites with his cousin. Thakur Akash Singh, 19, fell from a penthouse when he kept running behind a kite without seeing the short parapet divider.
Narayanguda police said the mishap happened in Sapthagiri Enclave. “The victim, who was a resident of Bahadurpura had gone to his cousin’s home on Sunday to fly kites. Toward the evening they were flying kites on the penthouse when the accident happened,” said SI B. Nagarjuna Reddy of Narayanguda police headquarters.
Singh, who kept running behind a kite overestimated the tallness of the parapet divider. “He fall down and was hurried to doctor’s facility with genuine wounds. He died on Monday morning,” said the SI. Singh was a second year BTech student of B.V. Raju Institute of Technology.
Police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy had requested that general society prevent flying kites from terraces. “Guardians must exhort their kids not to fly kites from terraces which don’t have parapet dividers to avoid accidents .
